Happy Sunday!

I have some updates on the blog and things for you to check out!

1.  Enter the contest for the Color Me Rad giveaway!

2.  Check out the updated About Me page and let me know what you think!

3.  If you haven’t been in the science mood lately, you may have missed ‘What’s the Deal with Diabetes?‘ and the new Medical School Series.

4.  August Goals Update!  Here were my original goals

  • Fitness:
    • Keep trucking on Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp! Loving it!!
    • Log 60 miles on my treadmill- I think I’m up to 56 miles 
    • Go to yoga 5 times!  (This will be tough because yoga is always the first thing I cut out) Yep- haven’t gone once 
    • Do 30 pushups without stopping (I normally do 15 per set, I could probably do 20, but 30- no way!) I’m still stuck around 25

    Food:

    • Sugar cleanse!  I’ve done this before and it’s time again- get that sugar out of my life!  Had a good week, then a few bad days, then a good week, then bad days, now I’m back on track- let’s see if I can stay strong the rest of the month.
    • Incorporate veggies into my second meal.  I normally have something sweet and fruity for breakfast and then have a snack mid-morning that’s also fruity and sweet.  I need more veggies!  Doing great with this goal!
    • Drink more water!  Getting better 

    Science:

    • Get in at least 2 quality hours of studying every day.  This will help keep me on track- ummm….. Maybe I will study today.

Post workout meal:  What can I say?  I was feeling child-like and just wanted a hotdog!  So tofu hotdog on Ezekiel bread it was!

  1. Wow I love your blog btw, so glad I came across it, I am also studying medicine, but first year, have six years to go… yikes! I also have been trying to sugar cleanse, but so far I can only do 4 days, you see I am a slight choc-oh-holic, so that is a minor problem lalala… 😀 Hope you’re more successful that I am!

    It’s now end of my weekend here and Monday mornining, I’m in Australia… Sadly can’t do any exercise as I have fractured my back, really upset about it as had to pull out of the World mountain running champs in Italy, but oh well… yet I am already counting down till the day I can run again hehe… it’s already been a bit over a month.

    Anyhow, I have a tendacy to ramble, sorry about that. Hope you have a spectacular week filled with fun exercise! 🙂

  2. I’m so glad you found the blog too! Are you at University of Sydney? My best friend is a second year there. I am the exact same with the sugar issue- I go about 4 days and then eat a tiny bit of sugar and then I can’t stop eating sugar for the next 6 days… repeat x my whole life.
    How in the world did you fracture your back??? I am so sorry! Have a great week and thanks so much for the comment 🙂
